Senior Parts Advisor Position Available
The Senior Parts Advisor is responsible for delivering an efficient, accurate and customer-focused parts service. They manage parts enquiries, stock control, supplier relationships, and support the Parts Manager and junior staff. This role ensures the smooth operation of the parts department and contributes directly to workshop productivity and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales
- Provide expert advice to retail and trade customers on parts availability, pricing, and suitability.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate parts or alternatives.
- Process orders quickly and accurately, ensuring a high level of service.
Parts Operations
- Manage the ordering, receiving, storing, and issuing of parts in line with company procedures.
- Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular stock checks.
- Ensure high standards of parts storage, including correct labelling and stock rotation.
- Monitor and manage back orders, supplier delays, and urgent requests.
Workshop & Internal Support
- Prioritise workshop requests to support job efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Liaise with technicians and service advisors regarding parts availability and lead times.
- Prepare and issue parts to workshop jobs, ensuring full traceability.
Systems & Administration
- Use manufacturer and dealer systems to locate parts, process orders, and update records.
- Prepare quotations and invoices accurately.
- Maintain documentation for warranty claims, returns, and special orders.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong technical understanding of vehicle parts and vehicle systems.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Confident IT skills, including dealer management systems (DMS) and online catalogues.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach.
Experience & Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in a parts advisor role (motor industry or similar).
- Experience handling trade, retail, and workshop parts enquiries.
- Full irish driving licence

Kelly’s Toyota, a leading Toyota dealership in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, is looking for Toyota-trained or Stellantis-trained Technicians to join our busy workshop team.
